Hi, we're Looply

We are a team of female designers and social entrepreneurs driven by a shared passion for using creativity as a tool for change.

  • We exist to empower communities to rethink waste and spark a behaviour shift. We use Looply as a hyper-local circular approach to extending the life-cycle of single-use materials to divert waste from the environment, landfills and incineration.

Looply emerged from a deep frustration with the slow pace of policy changes, tackling an urgent issue: the escalating plastic crisis threatening our planet. In London alone, an average person discards 66 pieces of plastic weekly, contributing to 430,000 tons of plastic waste monthly across the UK. A staggering 85% of this waste consists of soft plastics, such as bread bags and online delivery packaging. Traditional recycling systems are ill-equipped to handle this type of waste, with only 12% of plastics being successfully recycled. The remainder typically ends up in landfills or is incinerated, causing devastating consequences for ecosystems, human health, and the environment.

  • Community

Our mission is to make sustainable practices tangible and inclusive by putting community at core of sustainable change. We believe we can spark change by starting locally.

  • Our Process is no Secret

Open-access tools are key to a circular society, making sustainable discussions and upcycling more accessible and tangible. We have downloadable DIY guides to help you make your own products available on our website. We also run workshops in London on upcycling non-recyclable plastics.

  • Circular Service for Businesses

We help businesses close the loop on plastic waste through collections and material transformation, turning waste into reusable products. Businesses can also set up a collection point open to their customers, creating broader impact in their own community.

  • We are a team of female designers and social entrepreneurs driven by a shared passion for using creativity as a tool for change. From repurposing materials to building interactive, solutions-oriented systems, we collaborate with social organisations to promote well-being through hands-on tools.

With a background in multidisciplinary design, we harness creative practices as powerful catalysts for social and environmental advocacy, recognising the need for holistic solutions. Through a hands-on approach, we inspire innovative problem-solving, strengthen communities, and create meaningful, sustainable impact.

  • Our Commitment

We are committed to reinvesting 100% of our surplus into our mission of sustainability and circular design. Any profits generated go directly towards expanding our plastic collection network, improving upcycling techniques, and increasing community engagement through workshops and collaborations. This ensures that our work continues to create a meaningful environmental and social impact.

  • Protecting Our Purpose for the Future

We are committed to ensuring that our mission remains at the heart of everything we do. As we grow, we plan to formalise our structure to lock in our purpose, ensuring that any future transitions in management or ownership will not compromise our environmental and social impact. Our goal is to establish a legal framework that protects our mission long-term, reinforcing our dedication to sustainability and community engagement.
