Looply Joins the 2025 Sustainable Young Makers Programme

We’re thrilled to share that Looply has been selected for the Sustainable Young Makers Programme 2025, an initiative supporting emerging creatives dedicated to sustainable design. Hosted at The Textile Reuse Hub, this programme provides mentorship, resources, and community engagement to help young makers scale their businesses responsibly.

About the Sustainable Young Makers Programme

The Sustainable Young Makers Programme supports six young entrepreneurs (ages 18-30) working in sustainable fashion and textiles within Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, and Waltham Forest. This year, a new weaving residency has also been introduced, providing three local young weavers with access to post-industry yarns and traditional techniques.

Led by Yodomo Ltd in partnership with Hackney Wick and Fish Island Community Development Trust, SEGRO, The Trampery, and the Mayor of London, the programme aims to nurture innovative, circular design businesses and connect them with industry leaders.

How Looply is Making an Impact

Looply, founded by Fyona Seguin, is a community-driven initiative that upcycles single-use soft plastics into functional, reusable products. Through Looply, Fyona explores the intersection of material transformation, storytelling, and sustainability to challenge traditional perceptions of waste. As part of the Sustainable Young Makers Programme, Fyona will refine Looply’s business model, expand its reach, and deepen engagement with local communities.

We’re incredibly proud to be part of this year’s cohort alongside other talented makers dedicated to creating a more circular and sustainable future. Thank you to Yodomo and all the partners for making this opportunity possible!
